What else is in your water?
In about 90 contaminants in our country’s water supply, 85 of them have been found to be harmful and/or deadly to the human body. The EPA openly states these contaminants and their effects on their website. And this doesn’t count what MSNBC reported in March 2008 about how they also found pharmaceutical drugs in the water. Antibiotics, mood stablizers, anti-convulsants, pain killers, and sex hormones have been found in the water supply of at least 41 million Americans.
Most people are already familiar with fluoride, copper, lead, and mercury so I won’t go over them. I won’t name all of the contaminants but I will give you an idea of a few of them and the dangers they cause. Uranium increases your risk of cancer and toxify your kidneys. Radium also causes cancer. Lindane causes liver and kidney problems. Endothall causes stomach and intestinal problems. Benzene causes anemia and increases your risk of cancer.
Again, I only named a few. The 90 contaminants that is found in the water are the primary contaminants found in the water. I later learned that EPA has a secondary list of contaminants as well. Most water filter systems only remove the lead, copper, and mercury which still leaves 80+ contaminants in your water.
I encourage everyone to consider a reverse osmosis water filtration system. Those type of systems do a much better job purifying your water than Brita or Pur. For those of you who can’t afford a reverse osmosis system, I recommend that you buy Penta Water.
